Jessilynn 1.0 - Gardening 101

"Well, what do you think?"
Jessi: It's big, and old. Why did I have to come here again?
"Well you are going to be my foundress in a new way of playing and I built a farm just for you!"
Jessi: I do like farms! Do I get chickens?
"Yes, and cows to start!"

If you read the introduction, you know that this is a skill challenge. Each person in the house will have to complete a skill from the journal along with their LTW. This will not be a legacy style challenge as I don't know how many generations it will take to get them all completed. None can be repeated and so it looks like as of now we'll be doing about 28 of them. I might add more things as I go if I discover more stuff in the game. I usually ignore the skills journal and so thought I'd better at least compete them all so I can say I have.

Meet our gardener, Jessilynn Montgomery. I didn't write down her traits so I will have to get them later. I do know she is eco friendly, frugal, has a green thumb and then something and something. Her LTW is the Perfect Garden, to grow 8 different plants perfectly.

Her house seems to have it all, but little did she know when walking in, it was empty. She had functioning bathrooms and kitchen and a bed upstairs. Other than that, she will have to earn her furniture by getting her hands dirty.

Jessi: Wait, wait, wait! You said nothing about not having furniture!
"Oh, did I leave that part out? Sorry."
Jessi: Where am I suppose to sit, or eat?
"Earn money and you can buy the stuff."
Jessi: This sucks, I don't think I want to do this anymore.

She really doesn't have a choice in the matter, so we will carry on.

On the lot was a fruit stand, Jessi first goes and checks that out. She stands there for awhile hoping someone will come along and buy some fruits or veggies.

"You do know you have to garden first before you can tend the stand?"
Jessi: No, look! It's already stalked!
"You also live way off from anyone. I don't think anyone knows there is a stand there."
Jessi: So why'd you put it here then?!
"I was testing it out, and it looks cool there, shush! Just go do something else."

Next she heads over to the corral to check out the cows.

Jessi: Is this the only one that is alive?!
"I guess so."
Jessi: Well that's stupid, who's idea was this?
"EA's, apparently 3 alive cows is too much for you Sims."
Jessi: EA sucks sometimes.
"Yes, yes they do, but only sometimes."
Jessi: Here cow, eat this!

"Shoving it in her face isn't going to get her to eat!"
Jessi: Well why not! She's hungry isn't she?!
"I honestly have no idea, this is as new to me as it is to you."
Jessi: I'm naming her Gloria, because it will be a glorious day when she eats from my hand!
"You're dumb."
Jessi: Thanks, so are you!

Gloria wouldn't eat from Jessi's hand, so she tries to milk her instead.

"How did it go?"
Jessi: I got one bottle of milk out of her. Can I sell it for a couch now?
"Apparently not. You can drink it, that is all."
Jessi: Lame! Why did we buy this?
"We'll say for looks, because functionality isn't there."

With the disappointment in the corral, we move along. Our next stop was the grocery store to buy some seeds.

Jessi: Hey, did you notice there are two of these girls that look exactly the same, wearing the same outfit?
"I did, I think they are twins."
Jessi: Who does that, dress there kids alike?!
"Would you please just go buy some seeds."

With only $500 we bought only what we needed, which happened to be almost everything plantable. She spent almost $400 of her $500, she better start making some money or she'll not make it!

Back home she gets to work on planting all her seeds. This takes her most of the day, and by the time she is done she is super hungry.

Deciding that for the most part, just like my wishacy, I would let her decide on how to take care of her negative moodlets, I clicked on her hunger and she decided to drink the milk.

Jessi: Why again do I not have any chairs or table?
"Because, I told you, you have to buy them yourself."
Jessi: This is so unsanitary, it's disgusting.
"No one said you had to sit on the bathtub."

"Hey look on the bright side, you already completed one goal of the gardening challenge! That was too easy"
Jessi: Says you, you just got to sit there and watch, I did all the work.
"Yeah, yeah, well then you should be proud."

I forgot to post this when she completed it when she was gardening. So far this challenge hasn't been that challenging. Next one is the Botanical Boss, she will have to harvest 75 perfect plants as you can read. She was also a level 8 gardening by the time she was done planting!

After her dinner Jessi headed back outside to spread some hay. She doesn't have a horse yet, but she has a stable ready when she can afford one. In the meantime well, I don't know who will be eating that hay, but apparently she thinks they are hungry. I totally spaced off the chickens until now and so she headed into the barn to feed them before turning in for the night.

"I thought you were heading to bed?"
Jessi: I decided I wanted to talk to Charles first."
"You named your chicken Charles?"
Jessi: Well no, that is what he told me his name was.
"Are you sure you're not insane? Chicken's cannot talk."
Jessi: Neither do Sims, but you seem to have mighty long conversations with us!
"Touche, Jessi, touche."

And with that smart ass comment, I will end this update. Stay tuned for another one coming up!
